I moved to Meyers approximately 5 years ago, having lived on my Yacht for 14 years. My only possessions was a duffel bag and a deck chair.
I met CJ at a coffee shop. As I got to know her, I learned that she had studied art in school. I was in the process of decorating my house and needed paintings to reflect the local atmosphere of the area.
The first project that I had her paint for me was a bear in a natural setting. She showed me a photograph that she had taken. It was exactly what I was looking for. We discussed the size of the project and the frame. I informed her that I did not want to see it until the finished product.
Upon completing the project, I was amazed of her talent and her eye for detail. Her ability to integrate color and paint the subject in a very natural state. She was able to express on the medium, the muscular structures of the subject and give the viewer a sense of her natural talent.
The second project that I her paint for was a natural setting. This consisted of a landscape of the southern end of the Tahoe Basin. To be exact Echo summit during the winter season. The medium on which it was painted was a slab of wood from a local wood mill. Again I was not disappointed.
CJ is a very talented artist, she has the ability to recreate the subject matter on canvass or any other medium that you would be proud to hang in your home.
